We proceed to visit the Holy temple of Vaishno Devi (12 Kms), Ponies can also be arranged by self for the trek, Vaishno Devi Temple is situated on the top of the hill. Mata Vaishno Devi temple is one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Shakti and is the second most visited religious shrine in India after TirupatiBalaji Temple, After Darshan return back to Katra late in Evening / Night. After an early breakfast check-out from hotel and drive to Pahalgam called as “Valley of Shepherds”. Enroute visiting the famous hill station Patnitop & drive through the Green Pine Forests. Enjoy the nature & walk around the bank of river lidder. Pahalgam is famous for some trekking routes also & is the base camp for Amarnath Pilgrimage. Pahalgam is also famous for Indian film Industry (Bollywood). One can go for the sightseeing of Chandanwari, Aru & Betaab Valley (On their own). Upon arrival we check-in at our hotel for Dinner & Overnight stay.
After breakfast full day free to enjoy and explore the beauty of “Pahalgam”. (Own Cost) One can go to Chandanwari (16 Kms) is starting point of Amarnath Pilgrimage “The Abode of Shiva” Or Aru (10 kms from Pahalgam) has a fine meadow of picturesque scenery and starting point of trekking of (Liddarwat, Kolahoi Glacier & Trsar Lake). Dinner and Overnight at Hotel.
Post breakfast we check out from Hotel and drive to Gulmarg (8,825 Ft.) “Meadow of Flowers”.Gulmarg has a Very famous Golf Course during Summer (Which is one of the highest 18 – hole Golf Course in the World) And Ski resort during Winter. Enroute visit 19th Century Awantipura Ruins & Saffron Fields. On Arrival at Gulmarg check in to our pre – arranged hotel. Early afternoon one can have Gondola Ride (Cable Car from Gulmarg to Khilanmarg on their own). Return in the evening for dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel.
After a an early breakfast we drive to Srinagar and start our sightseeing tour with Shankaracharya Temple, It is believed that it was the place where the great philosopher and saint Shankaracharya stayed when he visited Kashmir ten centuries ago to revive Sanatan Dharma. The original ceiling was dome- shaped and the brick roof is not more than a century old.
And later proceed further to Hazratbal Mosque, Situated in a village on the western shores of the Dal Lake opposite Nishat Bagh, it is a pristine white marble edifice casting its reflection in the waters of the lake. Unlike the other mosques in Srinagar, which have a pagoda like roof, Hazratbal is the only mosque to have a domed roof mosque in Srinagar; the others having distinct pagoda like roofs Gardens & Jamia Masjid, situated in the heart of the old city of Srinagar, this huge mosque is visited by thousands of people who congregate here for the Friday prayers. Later in the afternoon we take a sightseeing tour of Mughal Gardens starting our visit to Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love)& Cheshmashahi (The Royal Spring). After visiting above gardens we drive back to Hotel or Houseboat. Evening time you take a shikara ride on Dal Lake, where you visit the floating vegetable gardens & Open Dal Lake. While riding the Shikara’s there are plenty of opportunities for bird watching with plentiful species including Kingfisher, Little Bittern, Common Pariah Kites, Grebe etc. Dinner and overnight in Hotel or Houseboat.
After Breakfast leave for Sonmarg called as “Meadow of gold” has its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh River that meanders through the Sonmarg valley abounds with trout & Mahaseer. Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajwas Glacier, Which is a major local attraction during the summer. Return back to Srinagar. Dinner & Overnight at Hotel or Houseboat.
