After breakfast, we will make a move for a sightseeing trip to some monasteries here. The travelers can visit Shey Gompa. Shey Gompa was the summer capital of Ladakh kings in the olden days. Thiksey Gompa is one of the most fine-looking structures in Ladakh. The well-known Hemis Monastery seen here belongs to Drukpa Order. We will return to the guest house for an overnight stay in the evening.
On the 3rd day of our trip, we will trip to Spituk. The travelers can explore Spituk Gompa here and it is supposed to be 500 years old. We will start our trek after visiting Spituk. During our trek, we will pass through a bridge and Indus River. Finally, we will get to Zingchan Village. We will have an overnight stay in camp.
Today, after breakfast, we will trek to Rumbak from Zingchan. We will trek through Rumbak Nala and will reach at Yurutse Village. Yurutse Village is packed with lush fields of potatoes and barley. We will have an overnight stay in the tents.
We will conclude our trekking once we reach Skiu. We can reach at Skiu once we cross Reach Ganda La. Reach Ganda La is spread over 4900 meters. It offers amazing view of Zanskar Range and other far-flung mountains of Himalaya. You can look at the village of Shingo. At Skiu, the travelers can see the coming together of river from Markha Valley. Then, we will have an overnight stay in the tents.
Today, we will move from Skiu to Markha Valley. The trekking trail moves across a number of streams. We will have an overnight stay in the tents.
We will have a trekking from Markha to Thochuntse today. At Markha, you can find change in landscape. From Markha to Thochuntse you will not have the view of forest and can see rocky landscape. The travelers will cross river and come upon Hankar on the way to Thochuntse. Hankar is said to be premier village in Markha Valley. We will have an overnight stay in the tents.
On the 8th day, we will trek to Nimaling. During the trekking, we will move across many slopes and a series of flat ridges. We will get through Mani Walls and Chortens. During the trekking, you will get the chance to explore most dazzling high valleys in Ladakh which is alienated by Kangyatse Peak. We will have an overnight stay in the tents.
Today, we will move across Markha and go up to Kongmaru La. Kongmaru La is the premier passes in the area and spreads over 5306 meters. You can see snowy peaks and Karakoram Range here. Then, we will move to the Martselang Valley. You can get through Martselang Stream and finally will get to the Sumdo Village. We will have an overnight stay in the tents.
Today, we will start trekking from Sumdo Village. Our aim is to arrive at Martselang. At Martselang Valley, the trail expands to the Indus Valley. From Martselang Village, we shall get into the jeep. Then we will travel around Hemis Monastery. We will drive to Leh through Thiksey and Shey Gompas. We will have an overnight stay in the hotel.
